We Premiered Our First Feature Film — “CHOKE”
I’m beyond proud to share a milestone that’s been years in the making.
On September 7, 2024, CHOKE, the feature film I co-directed with Zach Pike, premiered at the Fitton Center for Creative Arts in our hometown of Hamilton, Ohio. What started as an ambitious idea between two Hamilton High grads turned into a full-length comedy-thriller-horror film that brought together a talented local cast, crew, and community support.
The response we received at the premiere — from the packed house, the thoughtful questions during the Q&A, and the energy in the room — was more than we could have hoped for. CHOKE tells the story of Leanne Watts, a 911 dispatcher in the fictional town of Oaktown, who receives a call from someone who’s already dead. From that eerie moment forward, she’s pulled into a mystery that spirals into something much darker. It’s weird, it’s bold, and it’s 100% ours.
This film was independently funded, produced, and edited. It was built from scratch with grit, passion, and a lot of late nights. To see it on the big screen with our hometown behind us — that’s something I’ll carry with me forever.
I’m deeply thankful to everyone who helped us bring this vision to life, and I can’t wait to share what’s next. We’re submitting CHOKE to film festivals and working to make it available for streaming in 2025. Stay tuned — this is only the beginning.
Thank you for believing in us.
