Overlook — Official Trailer & Release Announcement
I’m excited to finally share the official trailer for Overlook, my reinterpretation of the iconic main title theme from The Shining.

This project began as a personal exploration of one of the most recognizable pieces in horror cinema. Rather than approaching it as a direct cover or recreation, I wanted to reimagine it as a cinematic soundscape — something that feels familiar in its emotional core, but new in its atmosphere and presentation.

Using synthesizers, evolving textures, and immersive ambient sound design, I focused on capturing the sense of unease, isolation, and mystery that defines the original theme. The goal was never to replace what already exists, but to offer a different perspective on its world — one shaped through my own approach to composition, arrangement, and production.

The original theme, adapted by Wendy Carlos and Rachel Elkind from Symphonie Fantastique, remains one of the most iconic openings in film history. That legacy was always at the center of this project, and every decision was made with respect for the atmosphere and emotional impact of the original work.

The trailer offers a first look into the sonic world of Overlook — a space built from tension, memory, and atmosphere. It is intended to give listeners a sense of the tone and emotional direction of the full piece without revealing everything.
